Aside from Lord of the Rings I’ve not been a fan of the crossovers. I didn’t buy any Avatar,: The Last Airbender & I definitely won’t be collecting the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Marvel sets.

I agree. I’m sick of the corpo bullshit, and even though I love Star Trek, I don’t think I’ll be buying anything this fall. I loved Lorewyn Eclipsed, so I vote with my wallet and that there should be more in universe sets and less peddling. I Must confess to a bit of hypocrisy though, I absolutely loved the Lord of the rings cards though.
I don’t like them as full standard sets but I’m fine with them in Secret Lairs or Commander Precons. Personally I play Magic because of it’s world building, lore and story, beside the gameplay of course.
And I only buy sealed product of Universes Within sets although I make rare exceptions, for example I bought a Final Fantasy Precon and I might take part in one pre release of The Hobbit.
