Ogles ought to be more concerned about the kids he ogles than whatever some famous dude does at a sports show. Humping the air is tamer than humping children, so get on your dear leader’s case about that instead.

He was waving the pro-independence Puerto Rican flag (light blue) and Ricky Martin was singing a song about the shit that happened in Hawaii after they got statehood… Is that naughty? Mm I liked it.

(There was also a lot of twerking, but somehow I don’t think that’s the actual source of the complaints.)

For you MAGAs playing at home, let’s check the scoreboard:

    • America First, no more foreign entanglements: That’s a No.

    • Epstein Files: Still waiting for the good stuff.

    • Lower prices on Day 1: It’s past Day 365, and prices are still rising, but it’s a Democrat Hoax.

    • Deport Criminals: Includes children, veterans, innocent people, and even citizens.

    • Make America Safer: Death Squads patrolling the streets and breaking out into spontaneous firing squads against innocent citizens.

So why are you still in? Is it the mind-boggling corruption? The Treason? The casual racism? The virtuosic incompetence? The manic middle of the night tweetstorms? The pants-shitting press conferences?

I’ll bet it’s the Pedophilia. The one thing MAGA can be counted on is to cover the crimes of pedophiles.

That’s why ALL MAGAs are Pedophiles.

women gyrating provocatively, and Bad Bunny shamelessly grabbing his crotch while dry-humping the air”

Oh no! Did Bad Bunny steal one of Michael Jackson’s signature moves? Did his dancers dance like Shakira or Jennifer Lopez? Has this guy ever seen a Superbowl halftime show?

It doesn’t matter. This is all just vice signaling. They just need to tell their base how much of a racist asshole they are. What actually happened, what they said, and what effect their actions could achieve aren’t the point.

This sounds like the same moral panic that made the rounds in the 1950s/60s over rock and roll. Or, more recently, the way the right was just queening out over Timberlake/Janet Jackson, lol.

Meanwhile, the de facto leader of their party is credibly accused of rape and having ties to a pedophile. Maybe they want to look at that instead of just reiterating moral panics of the past.

Bad Bunny lives rent free in Republicans heads. I really don’t get it, them making a big deal out of it is only making them look stupider tbqh. And they don’t need that, they’re already stupid enough. They might jump the stupid shark at this rate.

It’s not as dumb as it sounds. They make a celebrity who said a few anti colonial lines their enemy to get you riled up so you can forget the Democrats on the other half of the ruling class is fully supportive of and enthusiastic about genocidal colonialism.

They get their side excited, and pacify you from seeing the real enemy (the capitalist ruling class) by pretending to be the only villains.

Don’t take the bait, they win. Democrats don’t support a free Puerto Rico either, they support colonizing it and privatizing all its resources, they just don’t say it loud and proud.

The thing I agree with is that the ruling party is really the billionaires.

One might have notice that Apple’s half time show? Apple, Microsoft, Google, open AI, Tweeter, Facebook, TicToc. All these companies are run by evil pigs that need to be jailed for one reason or another. The most important reason being…how do you get paid a billion while others barely are able to afford food, shelter and clothes?

The Dems voted for statehood a long time ago. The Dems got issues, but supporting Puerto Rico isn’t one of them.

I don’t think people realize just how racist our country has been towards Puerto Rico. The only reason they aren’t a state is purely conservative racism. They were fucking sterilizing their women up until the 70’s for Christ’s sake.

Trying to blame their problems on the Democratic Party in the face of dehumanizing Republican racism has got to be one of the most tone deaf two-faced garbage takes I have ever seen.

I think you missed the point of that part of the performance. Bb was not waving the flag for statehood, he was waving the light blue flag for an independent Puerto Rico… Just after Ricky Martin sang a song about how Hawaii got screwed by statehood and they don’t want that to happen in Puerto Rico (from DTmF).

It’s not about statehood. It’s about separating from the United States. Totally anti-colonial with all that sugar cane, too.

If some wealthy people want to push for independence more power to them. Honestly, they should be separated and independent from the US after a payment of a couple of trillion dollars of reparations, of course.

I would like to point out that unless they plan on creating a new form of government they will just fall neatly into the fascist trap the rest of the world has fallen in. I don’t think wealthy pop icons are going to slit their own throats.

So it really isn’t about anti-colonial at this point as it is about anti-corporations. We need to move our mindset beyond the 20th century if we ever expect to break free as a people.

Fair enough. I just think it is important to point out we are transitioning into a post-nation world ran by a corporatocracy which is the evolution of the fascist corporatism.

I am fond of saying no nation on this planet deserves the human race. Perhaps one will be someday.

Segregated water fountains, washrooms, etc, were legal in the US until 1964, and continued to be a thing for probably around a decade after that as people dragged their heels about actually complying with the new law.

I don’t believe there are still signs like this today, at least not in public areas (because, as you pointed out in other comments, that would be illegal under the Civil Rights Act). Every now and then there are stories about non-white people being asked to leave an establishment, but those have, thankfully, become pretty rare.

I’m not from the US. I knew about Apartheid in Africa and I knew about the Triangular trade. I know that being a POC in the US comes with problems, for lack of a better description, compared to being a white male. I did not know that black people were seperated by law until around 1968 (according to Wikipedia, that is when segregation was outlawed in full, as of Civil Rights Act of 1964, Voting Rights Act of 1965, and the Fair Housing Act of 1968 (but not in de facto, because people)).

As to my original question, I consider recent around the last five, perhaps ten years. I would imaging this picture being taken around 1970, before something like this (hopefully) would have been removed.

EDIT: I should add that I also knew about black people and white people not mixing back then, but not that it was also by law.

EDIT 2: Now that I think about it, this is depicted in Umbrella Academy.

claimed that it featured “explicit displays of gay sexual acts, women gyrating provocatively, and Bad Bunny shamelessly grabbing his crotch while dry-humping the air” and that the singer’s mostly Spanish-language lyrics “openly glorified sodomy and countless other unspeakable depravities.”

Stop it !!! … I already bought my ticket ok ??! it just so happens that I’m super into women gyrating provocatively 😂 lord …give me the strength to open a strip bar and advertise it as such “HERE : WOMEN GYRATING PROVOCATIVELY”

    (emphasis mine 😂)
