so my friend is genderfluid and his dad is pretty supportive of ice and thinks my friend will “always be a girl” and is just “delusional”. also, i’m russian. my parents are russian and my dad is part-russian and mainly german. he has no problem with us, probably because we are documented and not colored. but even if someone is documented, they get accused of being “illegal” so many times, it’s so annoying
You sound like you’re supportive of your friend so good on you for that. That’s important for folks who have parents that don’t seem to understand their kids and get nasty or stubborn about it instead of trying to learn. Stay strong and keep helping your friend know you like them just the way they are. Sorry their dad is being a goober and that you’re being affected by the current nonsense in this country.
