Why I think they will lose.
Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq size comparison with Iran:
Not that size is the only determination of possible victory, but it looks like Iran might be harder to take and hold due to it’s size.
Iran is a fortress.
Well there is that, but Afghanistan has mountains and Vietnam has jungle…I wasn’t sure if those three are comparable obstacles.
Yeah I don’t consider them competing. They are all obstacles, and history supports all of them as good examples of things which challenge an invading force to an extraordinary degree.
If they put boots on the ground it’s going to be a shitshow
