Been a long time since I read this series, but I’m guessing this one is from the early 80’s. Possibly it’s even by Bill Sienkiewicz, whose comics work started out perfectly staid and traditional. (before, you know)

Anyway, kind of interesting to have a modern or semi-modern caped superhero who tackles horror plots, sort of a throwback to a comics genre which probably peaked in the 50’s, yet still kinda rumbled along in to the 80’s, at least.
