I don’t think I’d want to give up Chinese food.
On an American or Chinese salary? The difference is important.
If he’s paying 1000 for rent, almost certainly American.
I think he’s converting everything to USD as he never says anything about Chinese Yuan. Also the cost of things seems to align with him converting the currency.
The crazy thing is he talks about the affordability, but he makes over 4x the average/median salary for the city. That would be like making $400k/year in New York City or almost $500k/year in San Fransico. Now maybe that money wouldn’t go as far in the US, but when you’re making that much money any place would seem good.
Now I’m making closer to $3,500 a month, plus roughly $1,200 a month from my side gigs.
How much social credit score is an article like this worth?
Is $1000 rent supposed to be low? My mortage is half of that.
I Know ppl in america who have 2k usd rent for 1 bedroom. It’s crazy. If you didnt buy house before covid you are screwed.
It’s half what a studio apartment costs in some places.
