I ask people sometimes where the line is. Like, clearly what’s happened and what’s happening now is the acceptable side of the line. So I ask them to imagine something that’s on the far side of it.

I think for some people there is no line, except maybe, maybe, if guys with guns were dragging them personally to a death camp.
