1). I would not be surprised if the world was presented with digitally generated Trump video clips and social media posts, even if he was dead. Few people see the man in person - you could probably push back giving the public news of his death for a few years if you call it a security threat for him to go out in public and thus do all his communications digitally.
2). I worry that there will be a church of Trump after he passes. Much like the stories of Jesus took off decades after he had died, some crap story about Trump’s sainthood is sure to circulate. MAGA already puts out statements about how he understands theology better than the pope, etc. You could have some kind of Pastor of Trump that leads a theocracy.
3). Dictatorships don’t just resolve when the leader dies. There will be plenty of infighting to see who will become the new alpha, and the person who wins that battle is likely the one with the fewest scruples.
