I agree with everything you said except for the last bit. I believe most people are basically good. Unfortunately we tend to see much more of the dregs of society because outrage attracts far more eyeballs than awws, so the world looks much worse than it actually is.

I’ve lived many places and have travelled a lot, and I’ve experienced more violence and hardship than many people, but in my experience, the good still far outweighs the bad.
