I know that sounds like a stupid ass question. I have the Logitech wireless mx keys. I wiped the keyboard down so the surface of the keys aren’t sticky, just hard to press down and some have a spasm.

Since a whole ass thing of coffee did not short it, it gives some credibility that it is water resistant. Can I just dump water on it to help it?

what type of keyboard? Are the switches mechanical?

If they are you can pull all the key caps, and switches. Then use a microfiber cloth with 70% isopropyl alcohol to clean the PCB and case.

You can run the caps through your dishwasher inside a basket so they dont go flying just wash without heated water and heated dry.

For the switches it depends, generally you will need to open them up and clean them with isoprobyl and then re-lubricate before installing them back in.

If this is a cheap rubber dome keyboard, toss it and get a better one with hot swap keys that you can repair in the future.
