I feel bad for good bosses of small businesses that sucked up all these costs to try and stay in business, ended up laying people off and some going bust as a result. Every time they said “this is a problem, we cant do this how you want” they were shouted down. I say as a Brit that the British people were hoist by their own petard and now reap the consequence.
