Self-draining soap holder for bathroom or kitchen.
Might wanna angle the short sides’ floor toward the center as well, to keep the drainage from collecting along the front wall portions interior. I created a similar design a few years back and learned the hard way just how tenacious soap scum and detritus can be in those nooks. 😱🤪
I see these wooden countertops in British home improvement and architecture shows. I’ve never seen it in the US. They’re almost always either composite, stone, or that horrible fiberboard/laminate material.
I’m curious what the upkeep must be like. Do they have to be constantly re-oiled or something? How do you keep them clean?
