uhhh why do we not have c/piracy? 
We are open to ideas on how to foster community and explore ideas. Feel free to message us on Twitter or Reddit. Perhaps we could host some sort of forum or chat group. One challenge is that this can easily get censored when using common platforms, so we would have to host it ourselves. There is also a tradeoff between having these discussions fully public (more potential engagement) versus making it private (not letting potential “targets” know that we’re about to scrape them). We’ll have to think about that. Let us know if you are interested in this!

If someone wants to make c/piracy I’d totally be up for modding. There is the dbz0 server though, so I’m not sure how necessary it would be.
tbh I never visit other lemmy instances so I’d like to have a c/piracy on Hexbear. If you’re willing to mod it, just make a post in c/commrequest, I am sure that there would be a lot of support

ugh but its full of the worst nerds
The dbz0 comm is pretty legit too. I go there quite frequently because of their sidebar link for when I’m trying to find stuff that isn’t in my direct channels.
