I still have all my Blu-Rays and DVDs in boxes in a closet. They’re also all on a NAS. Thing is, at the time that I ripped all of 'em I didn’t bother with subtitles. Now my partner is someone for whom english is a second language, so we watch everything with subs, rendering my Plex station rather useless. Oh well. At least I’ve got everything still.

Plex can fetch subtitles for media where you didn’t include them.

Subtitles for most movies are really easy to find online. I use subtitlist.net for this, and Subtitle Edit for obscure items in my collection that don’t have publicly available subtitles online.

If you put the SRT files in the same directory as your items, with the same name, PLEX should pull it and use it as the subtitle for the movie or episode it belongs to.
