MONO COUNTY, Calif. (JUNE 10, 2024) – As Summer approaches, Mono County, the Eastern Sierra Sustainable Recreation Partnership (ESSRP), and Mammoth Lakes Tourism (MLT) remind visitors and locals to Camp Like a Pro in the Eastern Sierra! Launched in 2021, the Camp Like a Pro campaign was established to provide information related to the education, stewardship, enforcement, mapping, and infrastructure around camping in Inyo and Mono Counties. The award-winning Camp Like a Pro campaign includes a website with an interactive map (https://www.essrp.org/camping), as well as the Eastern Sierra Camping mobile app, available for both iPhone and Android users, which campers can utilize in the wild. This app allows users to download the map from the Camp Like a Pro website that shows where dispersed camping is allowed in areas you are visiting - and where it is not. Once downloaded, the map can be used with or without internet connection so you can wander wisely.
