    It’s a missed opportunity to not see Worf casually listening to rock/metal in his quarters.

    I guess they were thinking that classical and jazz seem a little more timeless?

      I think it was more likely a licensing issue. Most classical music and many jazz standards are public domain.

      I don’t know what Abrams’ company paid the Beastie Boys for the right to use Sabotage, but I guarantee you it wasn’t cheap.
