I am hearing that on his deathbed Colonel Sanders received the light of Islam and unhesitatingly recited the Shahada. Even now he looks down on the Ummah from the gardens of Jannah. Truly there is no god but Allah, and Mohammad is his prophet!

I thought I read that the Halal method hits some important nerves that at least lessens the agony of decapitation, but I never checked to verify that. I get your annoyance. A lot of the libs were suddenly crawling out of the woodwork to scream about animal rights during Ramadan and Eid before going back to their usual shit of doing nothing about anything ever.
I’ve also heard this, and some of the mechanics of it makes sense.

The problem with this way of thinking is if you have a problem with halal slaughter then you have a problem with the entire meat industry. Why single out one specific method of animal suffering and ignore everything else?
Animal suffering is animal suffering you either are ok with it or not there’s no middle ground pick and choose what kinds of suffering you’re ok with

You can say that having meat is more important to you than animals not suffering but you would still prefer to minimise that suffering where possible.
Well, eating meat anyway is fucked carnist.
Pretty sure the person you are responding to is vegan. Nice friendly fire.

but the second part is so crucial. given that meat is always depraved murder, any special concern from a carnist about halal/kosher meat is just islamaphobia/anti-Semitism
I’m vegan. There are degrees to cruelty and completely unnecessary or justified additions to the suffering experienced is just that, for no reason adding to the suffering.

Well clearly you do need to be told that if you still don’t see why it’s correct
