When you hit upper tier you really need to bring a leatherworker and a blacksmith with you everywhere you go. My wizard adopted some kids from an orphanage and put them in apprenticeships so, when we hit higher level play, they could make armor. Poor Hans must cry every time a portal opens in town and he sees a big wobbly silver head being shoved through.

When Konsi was very young, she found a weird stick in the bottom of a swamp, covered in strange magical runes - at around level 6 (about the time that Tymora gave her her name) she was given a vision of directions to an ancient sunken temple that had been overrun with corrupted undead lizardfolk, a cult of Talona that were spreading a disease that caused life after death - in the bottom of that temple was the other half of the weapon - an ancient artifact forge hammer, that Moradin used in the creation of the world.

Konsi’s managed to re-assemble the thing, accidentally repatriating it to Tymora in the process. She carries it on her person now, other than being a powerful weapon, it instills the wielder with an understanding of blacksmithing, as well as the ability to forge magic items.

So… we do have a blacksmith with us everywhere we go., it’s just Konsi :p
