I came from Lemm.ee (R.I.P.)

For us if was usually held during the last week of elementary school before summer break. It was a nice way to close out the year by doing this outside.

Yeah that’s kind of what I was getting at. The amount of energy required would be too large and impracticable/impossible to be leveraged in a portable form factor for use in the field, such as the video example.

Okay I’m interested. Is this theoretically possible? What does one need to counter something like this?

Reason is because the desktop version of YouTube is (still mostly? I think it’s depends on the content) using client side ad serving. On the iOS and Android app, you are getting server side ad serving, meaning the content and ads are coming from the same CDN address. So if you were to block the ad manifest address in Pi-Hole you’d also be blocking the content.
Pi-Hole only really works in a client side served world. Server side it’s harder if not impossible to get around. Server side implementations are more expensive to deploy, so that’s why it’s not as universal.
It’s not clear to me exactly how New pipe and Vanced get around it, but I’m assuming it’s just a browser wrapper?

Is this why my work phone email hasn’t updated since yesterday? I was too lazy to go to my work laptop, so just decided to sleep all day instead.
I keep holding out hope that 2ndhandrubbersuit.com will make me rich.

The price doesn’t turn me off. But I’m very happy with my Steam Deck OLED. If Nintendo ever releases an OLED version, I’ll consider it for the Nintendo exclusives, but right now there isn’t a compelling reason. I barely pick up my Switch 1 anymore.

I just replaced the flex tube p traps with regular p traps under all the sinks in the house we just purchased. Never did it before. Plumber wanted $600 to do 2 of them. No thanks!

Ugh man, Concord gets fan servers but I can’t play BF1943 anymore…cruel world.
I completely understand where you’re coming from, no shame in that game!
If I were 20 years older, I’d be happy to spec out a mini-ITX build. But with a 3 year old running my life, my time is limited and if the price of this is right, it might make more sense for where my current life is at.
Pretty exciting announcement! I was thinking about building a new rig and retiring my current machine with a 3080 to the TV. This might change that.
What I’m more curious about is how are the folks at Microsoft reacting to this news, since it sounds like the next Xbox was essentially going to be a PC. With Valve doing it first and the fact that the Steam store is so huge, I’m imagining this makes them a bit nervous.

Around 32, when I started working for Blizzard Entertainment.

WTF…
You shut your dirty whore mouth

Its sad to see the brand being diluted to fund Microsoft’s AI initiatives

I’m right there with you on the Steam Deck! Its still sad to see and it gives me PTSD when Sega killed the Dreamcast early in its life and got into publishing 3rd party only. Having only 2 console makers in the space makes me fear for innovation and creativity. The silver lining this time around is PC and the success of indie games recently.
I remember my friend bringing over his Xbox and playing Halo for the first time. I was constantly looking down at the ground while he was pistol sniping me across the map. Figured it out eventually.
