They comply with AI practices, they surely aren’t the good guys.

It seems pretty nice.
I got an error tho, due to my Pi-Hole No Google block list, it seems it’s saying to me to whitelist “identitytoolkit.googleapis.com” for sign up process, and I don’t see any reason for contacting Google servers for registration.

Why using technology would make someone a bad person?

This is the game I put more time on my entire life. I ditched it back in 2022-2023. Greed ruins everyone’s lives, that’s all I can say.

Wow that’s a good one, I had seen it before but now that you said I realized I can use it even for other things.
I just set up Kagi Translate so I can translate things to my language.
I add: “https://translate.kagi.com/?from=en_us&to=pt_br&text=%25s” with keyword “@trans-en”.
(it’s showing %25s idk why, it should be %s)
Then I type “@trans-en [word in english]” and it redirects me to Kagi, translating it.

You forget one thing, it’s not fair with the ones who stand against it.
There are plenty and good projects who stand against AI, is it fair with those who are trying to do the correct thing?
I don’t think so.

Sorry to be that idealist, but open-source used to mean something, not just the word. It used to be a symbol, people who stand for something. But now? It feels dirty. I don’t care if AI will do an excellent job, it still [insert all dozens of issues behind AI use here that I’m tired of repeating].

I hardly doubt people behind AA is careless enough to leave traces of how to find them. They can shut down domains or hosting services, they’ll come back later. Just a little inconvenience.

Just use emailnator, generate a disposable @gmail.com just to get the confirmation code, and you’re done, no tracking via e-mail. But if the service relies on your email for anything else, you won’t be able to do anything.
I’ve watched a few series with AI generated subtitles once and it’s real dog shit. They miss some obvious words that completely breaks the immersion of what I’m watching.
On top of that, they’re selling this feature as something good, instead of incentivating real subtitle writers that do a pretty solid work.
You’ll see more AI slop and less good work from real people.
