Oh wow, I didn’t see this announced anywhere! I’m guessing for the same reason the Genshin Impact stream was postponed on the same day.
As opposed to the previously released soundtracks which feature the in game music, this is all the music from the trailers.
Make sure to watch with captions on lol
Herta’s fast walk got me pretty good lol
Same, need to get her and Charlotte!!
Just casually dropping super-well-produced recruitment videos for a fictional interastral company now lol
Sucrose Hu Tao?
Charlotte!!!
Being that he talks about releasing his own original album of compositions soon, seems like he wants to do some work on his own with more freedom. Totally understandable for an artist.
One thing I think is important to mention, is that Yu-Peng Chen has not been alone in composing for the game since Inazuma’s soundtracks, with many other composers writing many of the tracks as well. Yu-Peng continued to write most of the main motifs and biggest tracks, however. I’m not really worried about the quality of the music going forward myself, as the others have also written some great tracks and motifs. The reoccurring motif in “The Caress of Three Mothers” in the Vourukasha Oasis is one of my favorite recent ones, composed by Yijun Jiang.
Given his comment about Fontaine, and with him composing less and less tracks with each update, he might not have been involved with Fontaine’s music. Personally, I’ve loved Fontaines score so far, and am looking forward to what the other composers bring to the table.
That being said, his work on the game cannot be understated, and his scores for the series have been nothing less of iconic. Will really miss hearing his new themes for areas.
If anyone else is interested about a composer / arranger breakdown for music in the series, the Fandom wiki has full credits for all the released tracks. Album List Here!
lol at the ending, though.
Say the line, Herta!
sigh…… Time to Twirl……
If you don’t get the reference, it’s calling back to this scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Happy Birthday, grandma!
Would you like to see me break that stone slab with my chest?
Bring booze and Diona and you should have no issue taking him down
As an update, seems this is just a web event.
I must protect the innocent from disasters! The Xianzhou Cruise web event takes off on July 14th, 2023! Be prepared and stay tuned for more!

(Sort of important Lemmy security vulnerability issue currently being exploited, if you’re not already aware)
Possibly? Just seems odd that they didn’t mention anything about it in the special program if it’s something game-related.
Yep, even better than that! If you start touching the screen, it will just instantly swap to touch controls, and then swap back as soon as you use the controller again. It’s really smooth and well done in that aspect!
Yeah, I’ve been using controller on mobile. It’s weird, as it’s both better and worse than Genshin.
On one hand, I think the implementation is better and more complete than Genshin. IE you can actually use the controller on the opening menus. I also think the overall controller interface is better.
However, like you mentioned making the game have to completely restart to enable it is weird, since Genshin never had to do that. In the end that wouldn’t be so bad if it simply remembered that you had controller selected, or noticed you had a controller paired and active, and would just enable that by default at the start. Hopefully that’s a QOL improvement they can do in the future. Make sure to put that in surveys!
I did notice that Genshin on PC began remembering I had controller enabled upon launch recently, so hopefully they’ll roll that improvement out everywhere soon.
I see Charlotte, I upvote.
