Actually just got started on the setup of upgrading an old chromebook to the lightweight mint iso. Mostly just need the free time to get everything going.
Funnily enough, what really got me in the mindset to go for it was that hoax Windows 12 announcement because even after realizing it was fake, it sounded way too plausible. That and some encouragement from friends who took the plunge recently.
Going to do a good self-care day tomorrow including shaving. Got a cute skirt a few months back that I’ve been itching to wear and it matches a sarong I’ve had for a while, going to wear them out, weather permitting. :3 - Phoebe (it/its)

It’ll never cease to amaze (read: infuriate) me how conservatives and establishment dems continuously say that trans issues are getting a “disproportionate amount of time” when we weren’t ever going to get jack shit from Biden or Harris outside of a mention here or there.
It of course goes without saying that these issues don’t detract from other ones and time can and should be spent on them all. It also of course goes without saying that Newsom can eat a dick.
Oh we definitely get that. We’re more than confident wearing whatever out but still prefer shopping at thrift stores where it’s quieter and nobody’s really there to bother or judge. Though not a lot of thrift stores have changing rooms so it’s kinda going in blind if you don’t know your exact sizing and measurements yeah.

There are so many cis guys who’ll say things like “Oh how I wish I could wear dresses/skirts/etc.” and I just wanna tell 'em that they can do exactly that? It’s not going to change your gender or anything… It might get you started though but hey.

I don’t know how much of it has to do with being on the spectrum and how much of it has to do with people just being extremely judgy but a lot of things are tucked away until someone gets to know us. It also doesn’t at all help that in our experience, people have used information against us to get us in trouble.
As a result, we don’t discuss hobbies, even “normal” ones. Can’t talk about drawing because we’re furries and people are still weird about that. Can’t talk about hiking or nature stuff because it would lead to discussions of naturism/nudism which again, people are still weird about. Aside from hobbies, discussing being plural and trans is completely off the table unless we’re 1000% sure the other party isn’t going to be an asshole about it. - Phoebe (it/its)
