Amazing write-up! I immediately went to Afterplay and added it to my home screen! Now I just need to find a solid place to grab ROMs and I’ll be set! Thanks!

Fucking “IT” by Stephen King. That book started so good, but it’s about 400 pages longer than it needed to be and the child orgy at the end really didn’t help me cross the finish line. That book became a chore to get through.
Awe! He’s doing what me and my SO call “shelfing”. It’s when your cat sits in a way that makes their back have a perfect 90 degree angle, this making a cute little shelf.
Send a picture of him being petted right now or I swear I’m calling CPS to your house!
Now all we need is a boat that does tourism for the sunken submarine to eventually sink and the cycle will begin anew.
Are you using an adblocker? If so, it’s probably removing the sponsored content and reformatting the thumbnails to fit the page without them.
Reminds me of the New Girl episode where Nick is pretending he’s gay and one of the types of men he’s attracted to is “sleepy guys, we call them drowzers”
Oh god, how many companies will we see crumble because they are trying to copy the all-mighty Elon? When will everyone wake up and find out his secret ingredient was always just human suffering?
I just called my local McDonalds to see if they would add AI to my burger. They were pretty rude considering I just turned their whole business model on it’s head. I guess being a tortured genius really does have its drawbacks.
Great UI so far! I love the card-style posts on my feed, much easier to read than Mlem so far! My only question is what are the default posts being pulled? It does not seem to just be my Subscriptions so I assume it just pulling all posts from my server?
Unfortunately, Reddit can just keep doing that as often as they want. Fortunately though, there are few people who will actually be able to do a good job moderating especially for FREE. They will burn through the good candidates and have to rely on unqualified people to do a mediocre job. This will ruin the content quality and eventually kill the sub. So long term we may still win, but short term we will likely see little change. The problem is always the level of involvement of the general public.
I’m glad to see Christian has kept his head in all of this craziness. If you pay attention, he has not once pointed the finger back at Reddit and said outright “they are trying to kill 3rd party apps”. He has been careful to keep the line open in case Reddit comes calling.
I hope he does something else past his Pixel Pals app because I am excited to follow him into his next project. We can all only hope it’s an app for the fediverse!
I always find these arguments are almost in bad faith. Sure there are always alternatives, but that’s like saying the alternative to driving to work is walking. It works, but only so far as it is practical. I am so glad I found Lemmy and fortunately the community has been forced here by Reddit, but how many posts were on this platform 2 days ago, how many will be here in a week? I am hopeful this will last, but platforms are only as powerful as their users, and the general public tends to congregate in the largest, easiest to use location.
Imagine sitting down and feeling the squish of wet fabric beneath you.
It has actually blown my mind how many people got behind this movement. Overall the change was not something that would have ruined Reddit for most, but it was enough of a middle finger of the community that we all got riled up for it. I am proud to be a part of this movement!
First one didn’t really appeal to me too much, but this update with “missions” and different things to do looks like I might have to grab it!
When you overstep and have to say “Oh yeah right, those purists are crazy”
If a call is important enough for me to call back, they’ll leave a voicemail
I had this issue with my iPhone 12 mini and I contacted Apple about it. They ended up taking it in for a free repair and if memory serves it had something to do with a faulty Bluetooth or LTE radio.
