Asymmetric warfare never intends to aim for a conventional peer to peer engagement with a far superior force. We’re not talking about pitched open battles here. We’re not talking about occupying territory or capturing objectives.

“What happens” is probably a lot of propaganda from the fascist media outlets. They’ll view it as a justification for increased political violence on their part. Probably as a pretext for martial law and the suspension or posse comitatus. Full blown military occupation.

If that happens, we’ll effectively be in a state of open civil war anyway. So it won’t really matter.

The really depressing thing about this, and many other “unexplained” aerial phenomena, is that it demonstrates how many people just never fucking look up at the sky.

“Niceness” is largely performative. It’s based on words and little else. Being “nice” is based on how someone views themself.

Kindness, on the other hand, is rooted in an intrinsic belief that is shown through action. It extends beyond the individual and considers how their actions relate to society as a whole.

You can paint a layer of “nice” over an absolute garbage core personality. It doesn’t really mean anything. These days, “nice” can be used to describe a baseline level of standard civility that allows you to function in society. It says nothing about what kind of person you are.

Mass suicide pact when?

No one said that we were relying on the government to carry out justice.

The only thing saving this country from full on state-sponsored ethnic cleansing is the fact that they keep appointing the stupidest motherfuckers imaginable to key positions or power.

Even if these are restored, the spell has been thoroughly broken.

Trump has shown that the supposedly sacred institutions intended to protect democracy absolutely disintegrate the first time a 3rd rate dictator shows up and knocks them down.

Trump has shown that the office of the presidency itself can be obtained by the most dipshit motherfuckers imaginable.

Trump has shown that our electorate is hilariously unqualified for the responsibility of choosing our elected officials.

Rebuild everything, and what are we left with but a system that is utterly incapable of protecting itself against fascism? How in the absolute fuck can we ever be expected to respect the office of the presidency again after seeing that the absolute worst among us is capable of achieving it?

At this point, I think people are just hoping that the next election will restore the illusion. But for a lot of people, the perception of what this country is will be forever compromised.

Democracy cannot survive an electorate that is this fucking stupid.

Celebrating four years of abject cultural failure spent on the wrong side of history.

Anyone who is catastrophically stupid enough to be swayed by someone like Trump is not a potential ally. They are, at best, a liability.

Conservatives are culturally incapable of true civic defiance or revolutionary action. It just isn’t in their nature. They obey the authoritarian. It’s just what they are.

Don’t go looking to the right end of the political spectrum if you’re looking for rebellion.

Luigi’s defense fund has doubled this if it makes you feel better.

The majority of the electorate will respond to the latter. Use the tools that work, not the ones you wish would work.

McConnell and the disease that is conservative culture enabled all of this.

That isn’t a dumb question. It’s a correct observation.

They’re about as fetishized as cuckolding is in right wing circles. The way those dorks toss that term around tells me enough to know that a lot of them are harboring a deep-seated desire to watch some dude rail their wives like they never could.

You never know when you’re gonna accidentally adopt a pet g’mork.

This is what the democratic party has to learn. Your sister is a sizable representation of the electorate. They have no goddamn idea how anything works. They voted purely based on vibes. You have to capture the terminally unengaged and uninformed voters if you want to be able to stay in power.
