politics @lemmy.world•To End ‘New Gilded Age,’ House Progressives Unveil Bill to Raise Federal Minimum Wage to $25 Per HourEnglish
1·5 天前In my opinion, this here is far from becoming extreme inflation. Even 100% a year is not extreme, and I don’t think minimum wage tied to median wage will cause more than 10% inflation
But of course, I’m no economist
Bus routes are not always straight, that may also contribute. But yeah, I think stops are 5–7 minutes by foot apart here

2·5 天前Well, they have a point:
Minotaur V was developed by Orbital Sciences Corporation (now absorbed into Northrop Grumman) and made its maiden, and to date only, flight on September 7, 2013, carrying the LADEE (Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer) spacecraft for NASA.
In my opinion, commissioned by NASA is also NASA rocket, though

No, this could work in a way that all companies just submit names to the same list, and if someone says NDA they check the list.
Problem with this is that small companies or companies from other countries won’t give a shit or won’t be allowed to even submit anything. Of course, you could say small companies don’t use NDA, but that is not true and defeats the purpose really
Some jobs require things that are hard to do on the spot, like product manager who should be in the loop and take care of where development moves, or project manager who should make said development actually happen.
The skills can be sort of checked by presenting a problem and asking how they would solve it, but the more abstract the skill required is, the more can the difference between reality and interview be, in my opinion

3·7 天前It’s just “ask your doctor if a company making Nwxalviva already pays them or not yet” in disguise
Corporate office in a factory, they were very old school in what to expect from a candidate
But a couple of times I met other interviewers that made me feel like that, albeit to a less extent
Signing an NDA with oneself sounds like fay trickery 🤣
I wonder if your response made them think about it for at least a bit
“oh, that’s why mom mentioned you look familiar”
This wouldn’t work for some jobs, but where it does a skill test does sound like a perfect interview. Glad you’re doing well
Yeah, casually asking something on a job interview
It depends, I know people that would be glad to help on the work but will not tolerate out of work pondering. Gaps on the résumé are sort of more of the latter, imo

It’s not like you would be able to expand Dolce and Gabbana, because it’s not an acronym, and it may also mean nothing for a person reading, being a brand they might not be interested in

Yeah, that is a bit confusing, i never thought about light being an example of one of those systems. Edit: looks like this applies only to laser light because light has a temperature of an emitting body, and lazing body has negative temperature
my short interpretation would be like this
A system with negative thermodynamic temperature is hotter than any system with a positive temperature. If a negative-temperature system and a positive-temperature system come in contact, heat will flow from the negative- to the positive-temperature system.
This situation occurs because temperature is not really a measure of speed of particles, but rather a measure of entropy, and for ordinary objects entropy can increase infinitely, increasing temperature too. For systems with capped amount of states entropy reduces when energy is added, and that is negative thermodynamic temperature.
So negative temperature is more energetic than positive, and because of that it heats up positive temperature object when in contact.
Light kinda does that, but I am not sure I can come up with an explanation of how to measure its temperature and if it fits the definition
