Not sure if you’ve looked at Vosteed at all but they have both the Parallel and the TiSlim Racoon (not to be confused with the standard Racoon) for something like $125 - $175 depending on materials both of which beat the Bugout on thinness.

Yeah it is insane.
Well shoot. A chonky boy but also serial #1…

Seriously though, having one for sale is very cool. Hopefully many more to come!
Hell yeah. This is great. Congrats on the first of many new knives. Can’t wait for you to setup shop for orders. 😀

PocketKNIFE@lemmy.world•Weird Knife Wednesday: CRKT Walker Blade Lock Model 4200English
2·17 days agoBy a strange (?) coincidence the first knife in the New Knives of the Week over on the KnifeCenter YouTube Channel is the Bladelock in 14C28N and Jade G10.

That custom is something else. It all made sense when I learned that Michael Walker was a jeweler before he was a knife maker.

Everyday Carry. What essentials do you carry on a daily basis?@sopuli.xyz•Write Light SliceEnglish
2·1 month agoThere’s not a lock, but you can adjust the tension on the thumb slide and thus cause the slide to require more force to open. There’s a video on how to do that here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQ-atBnbQ7k
I don’t think it will open on its own in your pocket, but if you left-pocket carry, I can certainly see it opening accidentally when you’re putting something _into _ your pocket.

PocketKNIFE@lemmy.world•Weird Knife Wednesday: Gerber DoubledownEnglish
2·1 month agoI have a memory of someone using this at one of the Blade Show BaliComp events in the past couple years but I can’t find any video evidence of this. Maybe my knife-related Berenstain Bears moment here, who knows.
A wild product from Gerber for sure. I’m glad to see you improved it!

1·2 months agoI’m not looking to buy any of these but I think you might get more traction with others if you provided some more photos. Typically when selling used knives online, the more detail the better.

2·2 months agowow it really is! :)
A nice update!
Just FYI, your first link is b0rked for me. I’m assuming b0rked for others too but you never can tell.
Not sure where you are in the world but a lot of public libraries have 3D printers now that you can use.
Well, Pete posted a new years update but more life than knife. Seems like he might be done with knife content for the most part. Ah well, this seems to be the way with a lot of hyper-specific hobby/enthusiast channels. Either they burn out or they develop new interests (imagine! 😂 ) and move the channel in a different direction.
Yes, most of the time it’s suggesting absolute garbage but every once in a while I get a great suggestion like this.
I hope Pete starts posting again. I miss his videos. He seems to go through a flurry of creative output and then crickets for weeks and weeks.
Wow, this is really neat. Sounds like it’s time to 3D print an updated version! 😁
This is really great! A little ingenuity and a solution is born. Thank you for sharing.
For my eye, order of preference is 1, 3, 2.
