I already use uBlock Origin. I haven’t had any issues with it. I was replying to the person who said NoScript was better.

It’s easy enough. You’ll need to grab an apk for YouTube so ReVanced Manager can modify and install it. That’s about it.
It’s too much of a pain to use for me personally. I really don’t want to spend time figuring out which scripts to enable every time I visit a new site. Adblock I can just turn on and forget with minimum effort.
Which one do you use? I’ve never heard of them until reading this post but you’ve got me interested.
This is just going to serve to put people that were on the fence off of Lemmy and they’ll go back to reddit.
And every single reply to that post is telling them go back to private indefinitely. Love to see it.
Satisfied Jellyfin user here. I had a Plex server for years but they kept pushing all kinds of new features I didn’t want that just made everything feel slower.
If I’m spending less time staring at my phone and more time picking up a book or something, all the better for me. I’ve found myself engaging more and doomscrolling less though, so the time feels more well spent even though I’m spending less time then I would have on reddit.
Wow that’s a great list, thanks! I’m seeing a lot in here I’ve never tried.
I’ve got a soft modded 3DS I haven’t touched it in a while, but I’d love to find some new title to get back into it. What are some of your favorite games?
I don’t care if all the subreddits come back. I’ve already deleted my account and will not be going back.
Exactly! I used to think of reddit like that, until it became something…different. I’ve found myself going back to old forums instead of reddit lately.
Reply directly from Inbox works fine for me, both in website and in Jerboa app. What are you using to connect?
Also, I found this to be a pretty good ELI5 https://tech.michaelaltfield.net/2023/06/11/lemmy-migration-find-subreddits-communities/
I’m using Jerboa on Android and I can click a comment to hide all children under it. On lemmy.ml on the website I can also hide children by clicking the little minus next to the username.
I signed up as a lemmy.ml user before they started getting hammered and ended up making a new account at a smaller server. I think a lot of the lag yesterday was a result of droves of redditors heading over to the bigger lemmy servers.
I love the concept of decentralization. Feels more like the internet of old.
He did what now?
Good mobile apps are key, I agree. My main use of reddit was on mobile. Currently using Jerboa, which seems okay except it keeps logging me out for some reason.
I was replying to the comment saying that NoScript was better…I already use uBlock.
