Never understood why they let cars there. Delivery trucks, sure.
It was way too narrow for passenger cars and there’s a parallel road right next door.

The photo must be around 8 years old.
Fun fact: on the top left corner is a partial segment of the old Bay Bridge that was damaged during the Loma Prieta 1989 earthquake. They built a whole new span (the white section next to it). To get rid of the old concrete underwater pylons, they blew them all up underwater. Here’s a video of the implosion of the last two:

Phew! Egg whites would have been… challenging.
Also, yum.
What’s the liquid in the uni, ikura, and quail egg glasses? Hoping it’s not quail egg-whites, unless we’re going for Rocky-style training 💪🏽

If I was an athlete and there were condoms with Olympic logo branding getting handed out, I would SO hoard them for souvenirs. Can you imagine?
They’re in Italy. There are farmacie all over the place. They can get store-brand ones.
Edit: Yup. Olympic Games branding. Goes in the scrapbook album. Unused, mind you.

Yes, but what does the cat think about all this?

Have a whole bunch of all of these laying about. For strange combinations of features, can’t beat LilyGo. But you end up having to deal with outdated drivers (i.e. LoRa, GPS, LVGL 8 vs newer 9.x).
If it’s just for a fun DIY project, the Xiao ones are fine, but if it’s something you need for civilians to use, M5Stack Core2/3, Atoms, or CardPuters are worth looking into. They also play nice with ESPHome.
They’re a bit pricier than the low-cost, commodity boards, since they have enclosures. But extra bonus that Espressif actually bought M5Stack, so it’s likely they’ll get the latest processors and still be around.
Disclosure: Have no relation with them other than happy user and using one of the Core2 variants in a project I’m currently working on.
