I don’t mean to belittle your justified concerns, but Mexicans and Canadians would like to remind you that North America != USA.

Is there evidence for this? Because I’m inclined to believe it. I joined tiktok when they first threatened to ban it, and saw so much Palestinian content that I really have to assume that it’s being actively blocked on other platforms.
I just like how Americans always seem to think they have the freedom to move to any country they want.
Will this ever not be appropriate?
I can see it.
What kind of time range is “x”? Days? Weeks? This looks awesome! Could you point me to some general instructions for someone who knows nothing?
Can someone explain how the PM has both a yea and nay vote? I’m genuinely confused.
As a Gen X - fuck this guy. You have to be an ignorant ass to write off all the issues faced by everyone trying to make a life for themselves these days. We’ve all been fucked by capitalism, and we shouldn’t be blaming each other.
LOL. Thanks for the sneetches comparison!
I would, but I’m on console.
How about something like Overwatch 2, but 6v6, and no battle pass. Maybe it doles out rewards like skins and sprays and stuff for playing? Just spitballin’ here.
Heck, add an annual subscription to pay the devs, but don’t go all in with the overpriced cosmetics…
You should play Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. I’ve finished it and it’s awesome. Wear headphones. It’s on Gamepass if you have an Xbox.
The game’s narrative serves as a metaphor for the character’s struggle with psychosis, as Senua, who suffers from the condition but believes it to be a curse, is haunted by an entity known as the “Darkness”, voices in her head known as “Furies”, and memories from her past. To properly represent psychosis, developers worked closely with neuroscientists, mental health specialists, and people living with the condition.
During Overwatch (solo queue), some guy was all pissy, saying that everyone on our team was throwing, and generally being a jerk. He gets fed up, and says ,“fine, since you all suck, I’m just gonna sit in spawn”. And he does. So now, we were 5v6 (OW 1).
But the minute he stops participating, we start winning. And we cap the point. And we start capping the next one too. And I just start laughing and tell him how he must be so bad that he was actually making us worse by participating. He quietly start playing again, but he was so toxic, that I kept teasing him while he waffled for non existent explanations.
He never stopped being a jerk, but I had a really good, memorable match.
For those who didn’t want to open youtube to see the artist and track, it’s chroma console, by Hologram Electronics.
Cyril Sneer.

Is there a lemmy or reddit app that ever served ads (Other than the official reddit app)? I thought that was one of the reasons for reddit killing 3rd party apps - they couldn’t push ads?
Puzzles - it’s all just peaceful puzzles, like overly elaborate contraptions to open doors or unlock new areas. There are no enemies or time pressure. When it was released, there was no way to look stuff up to solve them, so it was really captivating.
Try really hard not to google the solutions, since solving them by yourself is really satisfying.
Edit: Can’t really think of a modern equivalent, or I would buy it. If you “rage quit”, there’s something wrong with you - it’s way too mellow for that. You might want to take a break and come back, but you’re not gonna be hurling controllers.
And it’s kind of pseudo 3D - like from each position, you can click forward, and look around from a new vantage point, but you don’t seamlessly navigate a 3d space like a modern game.
As a simple Canadian man having been to Niagra Falls several times, I defy humanity to engineer a way to pump that much water.
I absolutely agree this will impact all of North America, but equating the US with North America is simply incorrect.
