They finally created the Torment Nexus!
This is awesome 😄
I’m a massive fan of Windy.com (not Windy.app, an entirely different service). They charge a premium fee for hourly forecasts but they’re one of the few providers that provide access to the super accurate 9km ECMWF forecasts which are usually prohibitively expensive for private individuals to use. The app is absolutely laden with features especially those for outdoor sports.
Designing an absolutely hostile mobile experience intentionally then displaying a pop up on how much better the experience in their app is (it isn’t) - 99% of apps could be a webpage or a PWA.
Another mobile website annoyance of mine is where common features aren’t present from the desktop version, forcing me to switch to desktop view and try to navigate on a small screen or making me boot up my PC just to perform the simplest task.
Let’s focus on the film people!
This is because Beehaw have defederated with lemmy.world. At the moment Lemmy doesn’t have the ability to tell you that the communities hosted on blocked instances are inaccessible.
The backwards compatibility is truly astounding in this day and age.
Thanks for making me aware of Kagi, I’ve been trialing it and getting decent results is a breath of fresh air in a world of blogspam and LLM garbage.
No app has come close to the lemmy-ui PWA to be honest in terms of stability and featureset at the moment.
Thank you for your hard work running this platform!
Gross, this is obviously their attempt to embrace, extend and extinguish the Fediverse.
Bypass Paywalls Clean - It allows me to read articles on a huge number of sites without having to login or pay. I already have access to news sites I care about through legitimate means but for the sake of being able to quickly read something, this extension cannot be beat.
It’s such an under advertised feature of the Kobo devices.
💯 - it’s one of the reasons I chose to get a Kobo over a Kindle, I’ve mentioned the feature to friends and they had no clue that they support Pocket.
Airpods (and noise cancelling in general) are not substitutes for hearing protection!
