  • Ignoring the insurmountable pile of contradictions in the bible, hell is actually the default afterlife destination due to humans being born with “original sin” (don’t know if that applies to embryos, but apparently god wasn’t aware of embryos when the bible was written).

Each sect has their own beliefs on the matter, with the majority believing all babies and children go to heaven, even though the bible does not explicitly say that this is the case.

  • I’m not from the US but I know that I would really struggle morally to cast a vote for either party.

Yes, voting for Trump because of Palestine is stupid, but I can easily see how voting for the party that keeps sending money and weapons, and supporting them in the UN, while pretending to ask them to “be more careful about killing civilians”, would not be very desirable either.

The US electoral system is absolute dogshit, but in my opinion the Dems lost this election all by themselves.

Edit: are the downvotes because you disagree, or because you’re upset that I’m right?

  • We absolutely are not. The only reason it may appear that way is due to older generations voting as if it’s a two party system. I believe that a poor understanding of the preferential voting we have is largely to blame for many of the ALP/LNP voters.

Younger generations preference third parties much more, and the first party preference for ALP/LNP is decreasing with each election.

You can’t honestly think our system is anywhere near as bad as thatbof the US when we currently have more third party seats than ever. Hopefully we will have even more next year.
