It’s a blast, so much fun, great world, great plot, insane characters. I was reading reviews when I finished that were saying it wasn’t what people expected and that they were disappointed because of that, but I think it is one of my personal favorites.

I think he confirmed last year he’s got the “first draft” of The Devils 2 complete or that he would by the end of the year, sometime around October.

I love JAbercrombie’s work so much, The Devils was so much fun, I absolutely cannot wait for the next in the series.

I’m in “the slog” of the Wheel of Time, and making my way through book 9, Winter’s Heart. I took a break and read some other books in the meantime, finished the Licanius trilogy by James Islington and a few others, and was inspired to read New Spring and quite enjoyed it. Now I’m back in winter, but it doesn’t feel quite a slow as 8 so far. Fingers crossed I’ll sail through the next portion of the series as it “picks back up”.

I added the setup to Steam, ran with Proton Experimental compatibility, and installed it in that context, then swapped the exe to the installed Battlenet launcher in the same context. After that, I installed all of the games to a separate drive. If I need to reinstall for whatever reason, Battlenet can be pointed back to that location.

It appears they are using the barrel of the rifle to break the window, which is even sillier than the other thing.

Bingo, I’ve got a Comp Pro model 😎 hard to sell for $1800 MSRP on the low end when you can get a crap import pump action for $400. The A300 Ultima Patrol is also very good and probably easier to swallow for most people at $800ish.

I agree, and I have one because I’ve used it a million times, but I still can’t recommend it to newbies. I also appreciate the application of tungsten shot against drones. I think “non-lethal” drone shooting would be a really fun sport to replace clays or real birds.

Disagree on bonus points for shotgun. I know they’re simple and cheap, but operating a cheap pump action in high stress is not recommended and you’re guaranteed to short stroke it, plus recoil for new shooters is off-putting.

Tax stamps for suppressors are now 0 dollars but they still need ATF approval, and suppressors are unfortunately, not as affordable as they could be, but new options are on the way that should help.
