I’m biased, I think I subscribed to all the ST communities first and this place was so quiet you could hear a pin drop except for you :-)

I see it as kind of like when folks would have a similar message as their default signature in the sense that trying to do a wee bit of social good at a critical time for someone predates even the open internet. If this really bakes people’s noodles, it’s them not you. And it was attached to a very low volume of your posts, and done below the “fold” in the one I saw. You couldn’t have been more respectful of people’s sensibilities without doing nothing, and you had a moral obligation to do something!

Some folks just love to vent, they’ll find something new to be passionate about in hours or days. Most of them will be looking for the next dopamine hit in a few minutes.

I feel like you definitely earned yourself a soapbox. You’re a pillar of the community and many days your posts were literally the first thing to make me laugh :-)
