Isn’t the fact that businesses won’t hire convicts a tacit acknowledgement by our government that our prison system doesn’t work? Like shouldn’t we have convicts that we’d be proud to employ after prison if prisons actually helped people? Wouldn’t the government protect prisoners as a discriminated against class of it believe that it’s rehabilitation efforts were effective?
