An oil tanker carrying Russian Urals crude has been diverted away from the EU-sanctioned Nayara Energy’s Vadinar port in India to unload its cargo at the port of Mundra, according to shipping data and four industry sources on Thursday.
Most of these sanctions are just a spit in Ukraine’s face. We should sink these ships.
Better not though
Yes, better catch the spit with our face. That’s not fun.
I meant better not sinking oil ships
Yes, I understood you: better catch spit with a face than sink ships that ship Russian oil.
I am not sure why you believe sinking ships is the only possible solution, but i’m not going to argue about it
I never stated that it is the only solution. But I yet to be presented with any other working solution.
Have to admit i dont have one either unfortunately
Nah, I am afraid sinking such a ship is bad for the fish and so … secondary sanctions for India and Indian companies would be a better solution and supposedly more effective.
Yes, herring is more important than Ukrainians, oil tankers are always loaded with oil (they just haul it around the world for some reason), and those “secondary sanctions” surely aren’t another Trump’s lie.
P.S. Even I am sometimes sick of the amount of sarcasm I am forced to use while speaking with those “holier-than-pope” people who are reading about this war from their newspapers while sipping their morning coffee.
Obliterating ecosystems that provide necessary food to human beings, while we’re (not meaningfully) dealing with other anthropogenic collapses of the aquatic biosphere is not really a good choice. A better alternative would be to seize the vessel and its cargo to sell for reparations for Putin’s war.
Indian refiner Nayara Energy has just become subject of European Union sanctions over it’s links to Russian oil company Rosneft, just to name a recent example mentioned in the article.
And as you see – result is 0. Oil was just transferred to another refinery.
