As we reported earlier, police confirmed there were words on three shell casings found at the scene of the fatal shooting of Brian Thompson.

The BBC’s US partner CBS News is now reporting that the words - “deny”, “defend” and “depose” - were meticulously written, not etched, onto the casings, according to a source briefed on the investigation.

The words were Deny, Defend, and Depose. I’m absolutely sure they have nothing to do with this book.

I also had to laugh yesterday when the cops and mayor were frantically trying to reassure everyone it’d be safe to go to the tree lighting ceremony, and there wasn’t a single person in the entire city who thought that guy would be after them. … Well, okay, maybe some folks at that investor’s conference …

Yet the cops and the media are all shrugging their shoulders and claiming they have no idea what motivated the killing. Mostly because they simply don’t want to say it out loud.

Seeing the coverage of the “media talking heads” is so interesting. They are part shocked and part scared when they have to explain that a possible motive for this justice is that he screwed too many people of our their health coverage. That’s how elite class should always feel.

    Directions:

By the way the gunman manually re-cocks his weapon after each shot, he says it appears that he “anticipated the weapon would fail to function as normal, possibly due to the use of subsonic ammunition in combination with a suppressor”.

Subsonic ammunition travels below the speed of sound, which means it is quieter as it doesn’t create a loud crack as it breaks the sound barrier.

Jenzen-Jones says it appears that the gunman deliberately chose this combination to make the shooting “as quiet as possible” suggesting a level of pre-meditation in planning the attack.

Cops investigate crimes? Was the victim white? White, and rich and male. Call the FBI.

they’ll catch him if he made enough mistakes and this is definitely a big one; some asshat can see this comment and try to help get him arrested.

New York police department has a lot more resources than a random Lemmy poster. I assure you they are aware of this without someone needing to bring their attention to it.

There’s something off with a picture of the suspect? The footage must be AI-generated and can’t be trusted. I guess we’ll never catch them now.

Idk if it’s a mask or not, I do know that I’m not investigating so anything I think beyond what can be proven is worthless.

At least, in my opinion. I happen to think that more of these demons parading around in human skin should be dealt with similarly, so I’m not thinking about it too much. Much like a nice breeze blowing, I’ll just let this pass over me.

Ooh, yeah, that’s an interesting idea. They could be a biblically accurate angel, approximating a human face so as not to alarm onlookers as they bring about divine judgement. I think that’s probably the most likely scenario
