Something that’s easy to forget is how much stronger men are than women. Even your skinny twig man is going to be way stronger than the majority of women just given the amount of his testosterone in his system. I still don’t think it’s unreasonable to say an average male has more physical strength than an average female. This is just biologically true. I’m not saying you can’t have strong women or weak men; nor did the commenter.
Fight the battles that have value and improve equity for everyone. This isn’t one of them.

Size matters and isn’t always correlated with gender. Size and strength need to be considered independently from gender. For most comparisons between any two people, there are usually several better indicators than gender.
Gender differences in strength exist at the tails of the distribution, but for average encounters gender is immaterial compared to several other traits including size and training.
