I have been on a few cruise ships, and I dont think “sailing” is the right term. “Thundering”? Dunno, but they dont have sails, and they definitely aren’t peaceful down the back.
Good call. Updated the title to just say “boating” and use a generic “ship” emoji. I don’t really know the right terminology myself
Sailing is the commonly used term, so you were correct, I didn’t mean to imply you were wrong. Cruise ships just seem closer to scaled up powerboats than sailboats, so its an odd terminology. I think its mostly a marketing thing, to keep the romance aspect alive.
