Isn’t there some limit in physics? As the new layer of polymer introduces heat, the layers below need to have been cooled down sufficiently that the polymer does not re-soften and subsequently distort the part.
Yep! Most printers have active layer cooling for this exact reason. For some filament types that don’t take to forced cooling well, you have to set a dwell time to allow each layer to cool before it begins the next one.
Yeah, and you can hear its fans going full tilt. I’ve got an A1 mini that also has this “ludicrous” speed setting, but I think the A1s is faster.
