Russia’s growing ability to sustain weapons production despite Western sanctions is being driven by a flow of Chinese components and materials, Vladyslav Vlasiuk, the Ukrainian president’s commissioner for sanctions, told journalists on July 7.
Vlasiuk’s statement comes as Russia escalates its drone and missile strikes on Ukraine, while the U.S. continues to hold back on imposing tougher sanctions against Moscow and foreign-made components are still being found in Russian weapons used in the attacks.
Ukraine has previously documented that Chinese companies have contributed electronics and materials used in the production of these drones.
Just days earlier, after a large-scale Russian attack on July 4, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha shared on social media a photo of a component from a Shahed-136/Geran-2 combat drone discovered in Kyiv. According to Sybiha, the part was manufactured in China and delivered recently.
“The trend of China’s (role) is increasing,” Vlasiuk told journalists.

Meanwhile the Chinese ambassador to Germany has been called in by the German foreign ministry after an airplane in service of the German Airforce has been targeted by a laser defense system onboard a Chinese frigate. The plane was deployed on the EU mission to safeguard international trade in the red sea
Fortunately trump’s as frightened of China as he is in thrall to Putin. So. that’s. Yeah.
An exhibition of downed Russian UAVs
Initially I thought it was an exhibition of fan-made rc plane models, (especially the last 4).
Lowtech is quite a valid strategy for drones. See:
If someone secretly supplies parts, why would they put a stamp on it? And why is that one half Cyrillic half Latin?
why would they put a stamp on it? And why is that one half Cyrillic half Latin?
If something originates from China it originates from China, if even there were stamps 'half Cyrillic and half Latin", to use your fabricated quotation.
It’s somewhat similar to Russia’s shadow fleet, don’t rely on the flags under which the ships sail …
Not sure what you mean by “fabricated quotation”. I had a look at the x-link where there’s a photo of said piece:

But yeah, “if something originates from China it originates from China” seems like a fair explanation.
