U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will have a security role during the upcoming Milan Cortina Winter Games, according to sources at the U.S. embassy in Rome.
There is precedent to “borrow” investigators and even gunmen from other orgs to provide security for the politicians and athletes (residual fear from Munich 72). DHS have apparently been used on past trips.
