Are they fooled by the news?
This is an extremely “Cake day: December 26th, 2023” question 🙄
Thanks for visiting my profile, simp
I could tell you why my fellow Americans support Ukraine, but I know you already know why, and that your question isn’t an earnest one.
It so happens that, unlike most Americans, I have never supported America’s involvement in this proxy war, and have even gone to one of the very few, very small protests against our involvement. So calling me a simp is the wrong call.
Bad troll is bad. Try harder tankie piece of shit.
If Putin invaded hell, I’d sympathize with the Devil.
For me it is not about supporting/agreeing with Ukraine. It is about Russia starting a war because they want to. I live a country close to the war, I don’t want Russian occupation or proximity.
Yeah. Im not even sure supporting is the right word. It would be great to me if russia had not started it and barring that just packing it in and going back home. Supporting the war would be supporting russia in it. Its just supporting ukraine defending itself. Granted it would be great if russia actually abided by its treatise but im really in fantasy land now.
Russia bad, of course
This is good advertising for their weapon systems and now the Polish for example buy lots of them after they’ve seen them being effective in Ukraine. Other countries, too. And even Ukraine will buy matching munition etc… I think it’s a really effective way to advertise and then make money.
Also the US will eventually need to deal with Putin, China etc as that affects them, too. And letting the Ukrainians do it is a comparatively good and cheap way. And no US soldier will have to die.
Another benefit: Clearing out the stockpiles of old weapons, giving them away and then getting new and yet more modern ones for the own military.
So I only see pro arguments for the US. It’s a good investment and there is benefit on more than one level. My question would be: Why not do it?
I think it’s a really effective way to advertise and then make money.
I don’t think this is A reason, I think this is THE reason.
US government loves to couch these actions as being Team America World Police style-heroes, but the reality is the more mundane evil of selling weapons.
Because they have been told to support Ukraine
The news says they’re the good guys and most people don’t look too closely at the patches they wear, or even necessarily know what they’re looking at when they do.
Not many people have the time, energy, or patience to keep up with all the in’s and out’s of geopolitical history.
So its pretty easy to frame it as “Big bad Russia bad man Putin invade smol bean Ukraine!”
Liberal partisanship
Most Americans don’t support Ukraine or Russia, we’re very self-absorbed and very much believe America rules all other countries. We do believe in military support for the Ukrainian army, however, especially where Russia is the aggressor. And thanks for the invite to suck a dick, we’ll be there!!
Ukraine is the most corrupt country in Europe. You all can suck a dick
So what? Corruption doesn’t justify starting a devastating war and trying to grab their land.
Yeah, if abject corruption was enough to justify other nations taking over, the US should have been taken over by someone else two decades ago or more…
agreed, and russia should belong to finland by now
Oh well better murder all their civilians then /s
You’re an idiot.
Nobody is doing a Gaza in Ukraine dude
I’ve yet to hear an argument like this for Russia that doesn’t sound like Iraq War propaganda.
Even if corruption/nazis/weapons of mass destruction were in Dallas Texas, it wouldn’t justify Mexico killing every citizen in their path to sack Washington DC.
I love seeing Russians with legs blown off. Nothing personal. I just hate it when countries illegally invade another sovereign nation.
Russia is far more corrupt so your statement is wrong. But you know that, shithead.
