this is the kind of thing that happens when the white washing of a hate symbol goes far enough. there are absolutely southerners who believe the lie that the stars and bars represent southern identity in general and not just racial hate. so then, they get it in their head that they need a symbol for gay southern identity and so they combine two things. to those of us in the know about why the daughters of the confederacy exist, and why they started putting up the stars and bars everywhere during the jim crow and segregation era, it looks completely ridiculous
I see you’ve never been to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina…
In all honesty South Carolinians will slap the stars and bars on anything. A lot of them were sincerely taught that the Confederacy was about states rights and cultural values. If you beg them the question of “a state’s right to do what?” You will get two different answers.
If they didn’t go to college they will become angry and say whatever they wanted. If they have gone to college they will give you an actual answer, my favorite being a conspiracy theory over the route of the transcontinental railroad.
I’d totally fuck with that last one. Anything to get people enthusiastic about trains. Part of why I’m stoked for dying in a death camp; if they build a rail spur to my apartment they don’t even have to raid me, I’ll just show up.

I am pretty sure this was made as a joke.

One easy step to round up a good chunk of the autistic population, bait the foamers.
Unfortunately with how obsessed America is with cars, I’m guessing the death camp deliveries would be conducted via semi truck.
so far it’s been C-130s
Yeah, but gitmo is going to be full by then. American dissidents will prob be going to some hell hole in Florida or Texas.
Yeah. I’m negotiating with my landlord about planting explosives in nonstructural walls. Blood for
bloodlack of trains.
