I have terabytes of porn on gdrive spread across hundreds of different free gdrive accounts. I opened those accounts when it was still easy to create new gmail accounts like a decade or more ago. Basically every time I downloaded a bunch of porno I uploaded it to a gdrive in case i wanted to see more than 5 minutes of those movies. And when it was full i just opened a new account. Non of those accounts have been flagged or taken down, except for inactivity. You can have porno on gdrive. They probably put their private “but she’s a thousand years old” kind of hentai on there and got flagged by a bot for CSAM
Sure. Some people do that. But this is an artist who creates their own work. You shouldn’t just start throwing around those kind of allegations unless you can back them up. And no, guilt by association doesn’t count.
Being on X this makes me wonder what sort of “art” this person might have been making 🤔
Personally I don’t think that should matter in this case. Why are they taking it upon themselves to moderate private user files?
Plus, we all know they’re probably scraping all of it for AI training too.
Unless you’re encrypting them yourself (and even then), there is no such thing as private user files in the cloud.
Especially with any of the big corps.
In theory they are required to stop scanning private user files, at least for EU users after Chat Control was repealed.
In theory they are supposed to pay a commensurate amount of taxes.
Private in this case means not posted publicly.
