          A coup doesn’t have to be violent. It can utilize existing rules if it breaks their spirit or the ability to change them.

          A coup is a forceful seizure of governmental power that subverts the existing system of power. That includes shit like this.

          A coup can be military but also from other bodies.

          In this case it would be a self-coup since a lawfully elected power would be attempting to maintain power by illegal means.

              Eh, doing a bit of googling there doesn’t seem to be a direct line to homophobia and indeed lots of things point to spanking being the origin.

              Regardless I will stop using it if some think it means that, since that is what language is.

              I am fine not castigating OP as a homophobe without more evidence

      how do you not realize this is a coup? dear god man, how does discarding voted electors for a new slate based on party lines not equal a coup?
