    I thought most of Hawaii was already like that, that is why it is a tavel destination. The companies own the best land and they build hotels and resorts to bring in the wealthy.

    I heard Oprah was making a big deal about the fires, not because of the people, but due to her owning 3000 arces of land around the area. Briahna Joy Gray, on Rising with The Hill goes into it a bit: https://youtu.be/Fn2X4V_Lde0?t=299

    Similar to how the wealthy have taken over the smaller islands around.

      That reminds me of Florida. You can’t exist anywhere without being on someone’s property. I imagine Hawaii is even worse. Many parts of murica make me sad once the veil is pulled back.
