Bad intentions won’t bring you well done though, only by chance. I’d much rather rely on a person with good intention who will fail and learn from it, and I can assume their intention will be good the next time, more likely to produce good result.
This saying you mentioned only undermines confidence, learning and will to attempt.
For me it is definitely perception. There is a German saying which goes:
Gut gemeint ist nicht gut gemacht.
Which literally translates to „well intended is not well done“ and I agree
ohh you even have a saying for it!
So does English - the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
I’ve heard this before but I didn’t think it had to do with perception until now.
It doesn’t, it’s just a commentary on intention not being worth anything without a good result.
