Yeah, Signal isn’t specifically targeted toward gamers, so it lacks some features in that regard. However, most of the ‘gamer’ features it’s missing are things that I never - or rarely - use, anyway. Simplicity, functionality, stability, privacy and security are my primary concerns with a Discord alternative (Discord itself failing at almost all of these spectacularly). Signal just does it better than all the others that I’ve looked at, imho.

For me at this point, it’s looking like Signal is going to be my Discord replacement. I just want to be able to chat with my friends while playing games without compromising my privacy or security. I don’t need an entire social network in one app, like Discord. Signal isn’t perfect, but it will do what I need it to do.

Ah, okay…that makes much more sense. Thought I was going crazy there for a second. Who knew that actually reading the title of the post would help answer my questions??? /sarcasm
Thanks, friend! :)

How is that accessed? I can’t seem to locate it. How do you save a preset?

Because I am a very creative person, I get great enjoyment out of a high level of world detail in my campaigns. I get really bored with cookie-cutter NPCs and/or just reading and using an existing campaign setting as written. This just isn’t fun for me, and if I’m not having fun, there’s no point to it all. Of course, I know that sometimes life gets in the way and I simply don’t have time to do all the things I want to do. It’s important to know one’s limits and try to just focus on what is fun, what will keep the game flowing and what will be memorable for your players. I tend to focus the most on NPCs - their personalities, mannerisms and goals. And yes, I do all the voices, too. I suck at it, but my players absolutely love it. :)

Wasn’t this patch supposed to include character ‘presets’ that could be saved on a per-world/per-server basis? I could have sworn I read that somewhere…but then, my brain and/or memory are not nearly what they used to be…
It really depends on the company you’re applying to. If it’s a small business? Yeah, no. They usually can’t afford or don’t want to bother with a vetting agency. If it’s some big corporation? Sure, they’ll probably do that. At the end of the day though, it’s a question of how suspicious you or your resume look that will decide how much energy they want to put in to vetting the claims you make.
You’re assuming that the HR department is diligent and willing to expend the energy to track you, and the other three hundred candidates’ information down for this single role. In my experience, this is a wild assumption.
Really great news - the functional boats should be interesting (and fun)! :)

Jesus Christ this hits hard… 😢
In my experience, this is pretty much the entirety of the internet.

Usually those good choices come from wisdom gained from screwing up. At least that’s been my experience! :D

I think culture plays a huge part in this. In heavily industrialized countries (like America, for example), we are taught that more is always better and that living a simple life is somehow shameful or a waste of potential (not everyone believes this, of course - I’m generalizing). Many, many studies have consistently shown that the happiest people on earth are often those who lead the simplest lives. Perspective really is everything.
The only other ‘structure’ I have is stone pillars for the corners, but they’re two blocks high. I wonder if it’s just my world is bugged or something. I’ve no doubts that everything will be sorted out in a future patch, though. For now, it’s just perplexing! Building a pen with double-stacked fencing makes it look more like a cage than a pen…heh. :D

Life is making mistakes and deciding how to live with them. :)

There have been times in my life where I was happy but didn’t realize it until it was too late, so this checks out.
No, I think you’re right. The weird thing is that in all the videos I’ve watched, the fencing looks to be only one block high and the animals appear to be staying put just fine. Maybe it’s a certain type of fencing that holds them in? I honestly don’t know…
Ouch. Sorry this happened, my friend. I believe there’s a mod out there that preserves workbench tiers, if memory serves. I know it doesn’t help you now, but…it’s something?
And by this, you know that all of the Epstein files have NOT been released. If Bondi says one thing, believe the opposite. It’s a simple formula that hasn’t failed me, yet.
