It can be a problem if the company is trying to bring in and maintain new users, which is kinda why the article was made. 2XKO laid off most of their team and scaled back development because it wasn’t successful. It’s also hurting indies like Rivals of Aether 2 which seems to be doing OK but not as good as the first game.

I haven’t used XMPP in ages but there isn’t a big enough community there to warrant switching to it.

Appreciate the comment but the problem is that the FOSS community is often preaching to the choir. We’re here because we already love open source, if you want the average person to switch then there needs to be an alternative that at least decent to use. XMPP and Matrix are not that. Nobody unless tech nerds are able to use them.

Jokerless took me forever, man. I consistently had bad RNG and couldn’t find steel / red seals for the life of me. This was also before they buffed blue seals, it previously gave you a random planet card if I remember correctly, as opposed to your most played hand which is genuinely useful.

Looking at both trailers, the colored version is way too bright and has a couple of scenes with blown out colors - probably for better contrast when making it B/W. These are pre-release updates. You need to go to the launcher settings and switch to pre-release, or wait until these updates become stable. The update including the presets will release for everyone next week.

If you’re on the pre-release version, presets are on the top right of the character creator I think.

I don’t know about per-world/per-server presets, but the Feb 5 patch did include up to 10 presets that you can swap between in the character creator.

Epic must’ve given them a really good publishing deal to make it an exclusive though. If it were also on Steam it definitely would’ve moved more copies but I doubt they would end up with more money than what Epic paid.

Not… Really. Alan Wake 2 under-performed and reportedly broke even 2 years after release. FBC Firebreak was a huge failure. It’s not surprising to me that they’re gonna pursue money harder. I hope Control 2 is good, at least.

FWIW the title is wrong, they won’t require age verification for everyone, you just won’t be able to access 18+ servers and see porn unless you’re verified. And according to Discord the verification videos stay on-device and never gets sent to servers. If this is true then at least it’s better than the privacy nightmare of other platforms…

I defeated flamelurker but noped out of Dragon God, didn’t attempt the fight, looked scary af.

Without spoilers, dragon god is one of the easiest fights in the game actually. Not nearly as hard as you might think from the outside.

But usually I would say go 1-1 and 1-2, then world 2, then world 3 and world 4 in any order, then world 5, then back to finish world 1.

I’ve figured out that the world tendency is tied to progression, so maybe that’s the issue?

World tendency can unlock a few optional path and a tiny amount of loot/optional NPCs, but the main path is always available. 3-1 is pretty confusing but you don’t need any prerequisites to finish it.

And the last of us show wasn’t as good as the game.
