Firstly, Sandboxed Google Play on GrapheneOS is nowhere near as bad as a stock Android phone. Secondly, you don’t need it. You can use a different email client like K-9 Mail, that’s what I use. Personally I wouldn’t recommend Proton or Tutanota, I use Posteo. What you just said about their stupid app requiring google play is exactly the sort of thing I don’t like about Proton. Wait don’t they require you to pay their subscription to use third-party email clients? Eugh

If you’re that worried you should really switch to a degoogled Android like GrapheneOS. But fwiw I doubt google would know your Protonmail address just from logging in through the protonmail app

FreeTube is essentially NewPipe but for desktop. It’s not made by the same people or anything, but it has very similar functionality. I use it as my main YouTube frontend and it’s been good
